Dhyana

upekkhii sati piirisuddhi = a state of perfect equanimity & awareness. ekarupa vritti pravaha = the one constant wave of thought of the divine in a continuous flow.

dhyanam nirvishayam manah = vishayas (sense thoughts) are absent

The source of all knowledge is within. With a quiet mind and withdrawal from senses, intuition and divine wisdom will be revealed to you. Patanjali taught yoga chitta vritti nirodhah = restraint of all mental fluctuations in the mind through discipline and practice.

Dhyana is the second stage in meditation where you are able to attain single pointed concentration without effort. This is the beginning of a real meditation practice and will take time to perfect.
